BeagleBoard.org Foundation is a Michigan, USA-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 2008. Its mission is to advance education and collaboration in open-source software and hardware for embedded computing. The Foundation develops and publishes fully open-source single-board computers—including the widely adopted BeagleBone series and BeagleBoard platforms—that enable robotics, personal manufacturing tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters, and industrial machine control.
Hardware designs and schematics are freely available, allowing any manufacturer to produce compatible boards under the BeagleBoard.org brand. The Foundation is supported by Texas Instruments and community donations, and actively participates in Google Summer of Code and RISC-V International.
