Avio Aero is a GE Aerospace business specialized in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of components and systems for civil and military aviation propulsion, with core expertise in gearboxes, transmissions and low-pressure turbines for aircraft engines. The company is also adopting a collaborative approach to automation and artificial intelligence, with AI increasingly used in inspection. Avio Aero participates in major engine programs and technology research with numerous universities and research centers, focusing on more efficient, lower-emission propulsion.
