ASO Safety Solutions Inc. is the U.S. arm of the ASO Group, a manufacturer of safety sensors for automation. The ASO Group was established in Germany in 1984 (headquartered in Lippstadt), and ASO Safety Solutions has operated from its U.S. headquarters in Landing, New Jersey for over 20 years, delivering safety sensor technology and customized solutions for the North American market. The company designs and manufactures tactile and contactless safety components that prevent injury and equipment damage in industrial and automation environments.
Its core product portfolio under the SENTIR and ELMON/LISENS brands includes safety contact edges, safety bumpers, safety mats, safety relays, signal transmission systems and radar sensors. SENTIR bumpers are specifically applied to automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots, lifts and hangar doors, providing soft cushioning and added over-travel to prevent collision damage, while safety edges and mats protect machinery, doors and access points. ASO offers both assemble-it-yourself edges and finished edges made to customer specifications, with safety mats custom-manufactured to order at its New Jersey facility.
The company operates three global locations - in Germany, the USA (Landing, NJ) and Nanjing, China - combining international manufacturing scale with local support. ASO produces over 40,000 electronic devices, 30,000 mats, 15,000 bumpers and more than 1,000,000 meters of safety contact edges per year. Customers across mobility, machinery, door and automation industries rely on ASO's sensors to meet machine-safety requirements, including its newer LISENS scan radar sensor for securing barriers and gates.
