ASMPT GmbH & Co. KG is the German entity of ASMPT Limited, a Singapore-headquartered technology group listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (ticker 0522) and founded in 1975 as ASM Pacific Technology. Based at Rupert-Mayer-Strasse 48 in Munich, the entity traces its surface-mount technology business to the electronics assembly systems division that ASM Pacific Technology acquired from Siemens in 2011, later expanded by the 2014 purchase of DEK Printing Machines from Dover Corporation, and now functions as the SMT Solutions arm's European development, production, and sales hub.
Its product range covers surface-mount lines: SIPLACE pick-and-place platforms in V, SX, TX, and X-series configurations for component placement, DEK-branded stencil printers including the TQ, Galaxy, and NeoHorizon models for solder-paste deposition, Process Lens optical and solder-paste inspection systems, and the WORKS software suite for production planning, monitoring, and line-level data integration. Customers span industrial, automotive, medical device, mobile communications, computing, and LED display manufacturing. ASMPT describes its SMT division as the largest supplier of surface-mount equipment by volume.
ASMPT operates manufacturing sites in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Singapore for the SMT business and shows its equipment at trade events including productronica and Hannover Messe.
