"More than injection moulding"
Utrecht-area Dutch arm of Germany's ARBURG, founded 1923 in Lossburg; agreed in July 2026 to acquire Dutch injection-molding rival Stork IMM.
ARBURG BV is the Netherlands-based subsidiary of ARBURG GmbH + Co KG, a family-owned machinery manufacturer founded in 1923 and headquartered in Lossburg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. The parent remains under third-generation family ownership, led by managing partners Juliane Hehl, Michael Hehl, and Renate Keinath, and reported 576 million euros in 2025 turnover with a 75 percent export share.
ARBURG's core product line, the ALLROUNDER series introduced in 1961, spans hydraulic, electric, and hybrid injection molding machines with clamping forces from 125 to 6,500 kilonewtons, molding parts for the automotive, medical-technology, consumer-electronics, and packaging industries. The company also builds the freeformer, an industrial 3D printer that processes standard injection-molding plastic granules without tooling through its proprietary ARBURG Plastic Freeforming process, and supplies six-axis and linear robots that combine with its machines into automated molding cells. On July 29, 2026, ARBURG signed an agreement to acquire Dutch machine maker Stork IMM.
ARBURG BV serves the Dutch and Benelux market from its office near Utrecht, providing sales, application engineering, service, and spare-parts support. Group-wide, ARBURG operates 37 locations, works with partners in more than 100 countries, and employs about 3,400 people, with central manufacturing at the Lossburg site.
