Ameriflight, LLC is the largest FAA Part 135 cargo airline in the United States, headquartered at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. Established in 1968 (originally as California Air Charter), the company operates scheduled and contract air cargo services from a network of bases serving the continental US, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, flying roughly 30 tons of cargo daily as a critical link in the supply chains of UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Ameriflight is additionally collaborating with Boston-based Merlin Labs on retrofitting existing aircraft with autonomous navigation systems. These initiatives extend the airline's traditional logistics expertise into drone-based and autonomous middle-mile delivery, integrating uncrewed aerial systems into a regulated commercial cargo operation. Safety is the company's core operating value, integrated across its policies, procedures, and standardized training programs, and Ameriflight also provides specialized cargo charter services including radiopharmaceutical transport.
