Company Overview

Airbility Inc. is a South Korean advanced air mobility (AAM) company founded in November 2023, headquartered in the Republic of Korea. The company was co-founded by engineers drawn from the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), Hyundai Motor Company, and LG Electronics, and is led by co-CEO Jinmo Lee. Airbility designs hybrid-electric and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that use a fan-jet propulsion architecture rather than conventional propeller-driven lift, an approach the company positions for higher speed and efficiency.

Its product family centers on two aircraft. The AB-0 is an unmanned eVTOL designed for wide-area surveillance, reconnaissance, disaster response, and emergency logistics, featuring a three-meter wingspan, a maximum cruise speed of roughly 200 km/h, a range of about 100 km, more than two hours of endurance, and a maximum payload of approximately 10 kg. The AB-2 is the company's flagship two-seat manned aircraft, targeted at the U.S. FAA MOSAIC light-sport rule introduced in 2023, with a design goal of flying around 250 miles at 250 mph and planned commercialization in 2028. Airbility publicly unveiled a 3-meter-class AB-0 model at Drone Show Korea (DSK) 2025 in Busan and has exhibited at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition.

In January 2025 the company raised 2.5 billion KRW (about USD 1.7 million) in Pre-Series A funding, bringing cumulative investment to roughly 3.7 billion KRW (about USD 2.5 million). It has also signed an MOU with the Korea Anti-Drone Industry Association. The company targets defense, public safety, and future passenger air mobility markets.
