Danish start-up at DTU Science Park supplying safety software for autonomous farm machines: obstacle detection, GNSS geofencing and ISO 25119 safety.
AgriRobot is a Danish start-up based at DTU Science Park in Kongens Lyngby that develops safety software for autonomous agricultural machines. Rather than building its own robots, it supplies a configurable safety layer to machine and robot manufacturers that runs on off-the-shelf hardware.
The software covers obstacle detection designed to meet stringent performance levels, geofencing based on GNSS and sensor fusion to keep robots inside field boundaries, and remote access with live video so operators can monitor and manage a machine from a mobile device. Its functional safety approach is aligned with ISO 25119, the functional safety standard for agricultural and forestry machinery control systems, combined with the SOTIF (safety of the intended functionality) framework. Target use cases are vineyards, orchards and open fields. AgriRobot describes its engagement in three stages - Integrate, Detect and Safe - moving from OEM integration and prototyping to a compliant solution that can be scaled across a product line.
Customer and partner testimonials on its website come from French implement maker KUHN, New Zealand wine producer Cloudy Bay, LS Products BV, WekoAgro and Swiss single-axle machine maker Rapid.
