Allen Control Systems (ACS) is a U.S. defense robotics company that develops autonomous precision weapon stations for counter-unmanned-systems (CUxS) missions. Its flagship product family, Bullfrog, comprises AI-powered robotic gun turrets that mount existing weapons and acquire, track, and engage small drones (Groups 1-3 UAS, FPV, and swarms). The lineup includes the Bullfrog M240C (all-purpose defense, ~800m effective range), the M2 (.50 cal, advanced defense to ~1500m), and the in-development M230 and M134 variants. ACS systems use passive machine-vision sensing rather than radar, allowing operators to keep their position concealed, and feature an open architecture that integrates with existing C2 systems for layered defense.
The company also markets low-collateral effectors including laser dazzlers (dazzle up to 2km, disable focal planes to 1km, and issue encrypted drone commands such as Return-to-Home) and composite/rubber bullets with a roughly 300-yard effective range.
Core technical capabilities span passive drone detection, autonomous fire control software, and synthetic training-data generation. ACS was founded by CEO Mike Wior, President Steve Simoni, and CTO Luke Allen; Simoni and Allen are former U.S. Navy nuclear instrumentation-and-control engineers who previously co-founded restaurant-robotics startup Bbot (acquired by DoorDash in 2022), while Wior founded Omnivore (acquired by Olo). The engineering organization, led by SVP of Engineering Aric Schorr, focuses on low-SWaP, affordable full-kill-chain CUxS solutions. ACS's stated mission is to dramatically lower the cost-per-kill of defeating a drone to a few dollars, changing battlefield economics.
