ACRO Automation Systems, Inc. is a family-owned American automation equipment supplier and system integrator based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, founded in 1936 as the ACRO Welder Manufacturing Company with an original focus on welding technology. The company remained privately owned until 1981, when it was acquired by the Ransburg Corporation of Indianapolis, and in 1988 it was purchased by ACRO CEO Cliff Loomis and a group of investors, returning to independent ownership. Over more than 90 years ACRO has evolved from welding into custom industrial automation, robotics, and system integration, completing over 800 projects since 1936 with worldwide installation and service. Its solution portfolio includes automated assembly systems (high-volume, multi-station and custom builds), custom automated welding systems, robotic dispensing systems for adhesives and sealants, robotic tool polishing for consistent surface finishing, integrated automation systems, and complete integrated manufacturing lines that combine multiple stations into a single turnkey robotic line.
