Company Overview

Accerion, founded in 2015 and based in Venlo, Netherlands, develops AI-based optical positioning technology for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Its flagship product, Triton, delivers sub-millimeter accurate, 100% infrastructure-free localization by using the floor surface as a reference — eliminating the need for floor wires, reflectors, or QR codes. The technology combines relative position measurement with absolute drift correction via proprietary algorithms.

Accerion served industrial logistics customers globally before being acquired by SICK AG (Waldkirch, Germany) in January 2025, and now operates as SICK Accerion B.V., continuing product development in Venlo.
