Park Systems Corp. (KOSDAQ: 140860) is a South Korean scientific-instrument company headquartered in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. It was established on April 7, 1997 as PSIA by Dr. Sang-il Park, who had earlier studied atomic force microscopy under Professor Calvin Quate at Stanford University and founded Park Scientific Instruments in Silicon Valley in 1988 before selling it to Thermo Electron. PSIA was renamed Park Systems in 2007 and listed on the KOSDAQ exchange in December 2015.
Park Systems builds research and industrial atomic force microscopes (AFM) based on non-contact mode imaging, which keeps the probe tip out of physical contact with the sample during scanning to limit tip wear and sample damage. Product lines include the Park NX10 small-sample research AFM, the Park NX20 for large-sample failure analysis and semiconductor metrology, the Park NX1 for atomic-scale imaging, the high-vacuum Park NX-Hivac, and the Park HDM, PTR, Wafer and 3DM series for semiconductor and materials work. A 2022 deal for Germany's Accurion added imaging ellipsometers and vibration-isolation tables, and a 2025 deal for Switzerland's Lyncee Tec added digital holographic microscopes.
The company employs more than 600 people and runs 16 regional offices serving customers in over 70 countries. Its industrial AFM technology was designated a National Core Technology by South Korea in 2010.
