Waypoint Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2017 in Nashua, New Hampshire by Jason Walker and Patrick Hussey. The company designed and manufactured industrial-strength autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) optimized for ease of deployment in manufacturing environments. Its flagship products include the Vector, an omnidirectional AMR with a 600-pound payload capacity, and the MAV3K, a heavy-duty omnidirectional AMR capable of transporting up to 3,000 pounds.
The MAV3K featured Waypoint's Dispatcher software enabling autonomous operation setup in under 15 minutes. Both platforms targeted factory floors and warehouses requiring flexible, heavy-load material transport. Waypoint Robotics was acquired by Locus Robotics in September 2021.
Following the acquisition, Waypoint's technology and products were integrated into Locus Robotics' broader warehouse automation platform, and the waypointrobotics.com domain now redirects to Locus Robotics.
