VARGO Solutions

VARGO Solutions is a U.S.-based warehouse fulfillment systems integrator founded in 1971 by Julius and Mary Ann Vargo as Vargo Associates, based in Columbus, Ohio. The company was established to serve the growing demand for efficient material handling equipment for regional and national businesses, and is currently headquartered in Hilliard, Ohio. Leadership transitioned to the second generation in 2001 when Michael Vargo became president, with the company since expanding to a nationwide operation with multiple branch offices.

VARGO designs, procures, installs, and orchestrates cohesive fulfillment systems that integrate conveyors, sortation equipment, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), goods-to-person picking solutions, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). A central element of VARGO's offering is COFE (Continuous Order Fulfillment Engine), a proprietary warehouse execution system (WES) that enables waveless fulfillment — coordinating labor and automation in real time to deliver higher throughput, better service levels, and lower per-unit cost. VARGO was named a foundational partner in the Locus Robotics Array system integrator program in April 2026, and holds an authorized integrator designation for URBX's robotic AS/RS solutions.

VARGO's client base spans retail, e-commerce, and manufacturing sectors and includes organizations such as LL Bean, American Eagle Outfitters, Old Navy, DSW, Forever 21, Micro Center, Discount Tire, and American Honda Motor Company. The company is a member of MHI, the U.S. material handling industry association. VARGO has been featured in the Columbus CEO Innovation Spotlight, recognizing its role as a technology-driven systems integrator in the Ohio business community.
