Tiesse Robot S.p.A. is an Italian systems integrator based in Visano, in the province of Brescia, formed from two predecessor firms, Tecnomecc and Sirobot. The company has served as Kawasaki Robotics' Italian distributor since a commercial partnership began in 1987 at the IREX trade fair in Japan; in 1992 Kawasaki took a 24.9 percent equity stake in Tiesse, and the two companies marked the partnership's 30th anniversary in 2022.
Tiesse builds robotic work cells around Kawasaki's articulated industrial and collaborative robot ranges for arc and laser welding, machine-tool tending, foundry handling, palletizing, and assembly, and separately distributes Shibaura SCARA robots for lighter pick-and-place tasks. The company also produces Astorino, a small 3D-printed robot arm used for robotics education. Tiesse operates a facility in Visano covering roughly 18,000 square meters, including more than 6,000 square meters of covered production and integration space, and reported turnover of about 32 million euros in 2021.
The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification and states it has supplied thousands of robotic systems to automotive and general industrial customers in Italy and abroad. Tiesse takes part in Italian trade fairs including SPS Italia and BI-MU and belongs to Amafond, the Italian foundry equipment manufacturers' association.
