Unlike enterprise or medical exoskeletons designed for controlled environments, the Exo-S3 is engineered for real-world terrain, including urban streets, stairs, outdoor trails, and inclines. The dual-vector drive system automatically shifts between power modes to accommodate climbing stairs, ascending hills, and cycling, using a proprietary human-intent recognition AI that anticipates user movement and adjusts motor assistance accordingly without requiring manual mode switching.
The product line comprises three models: the Exo-S3 (entry-level, $1,199), the Exo-S3 Pro (for athletes and active users, $1,499), and the Exo-S3 Ultra (for outdoor professionals maximizing battery runtime, $1,999). All models use carbon fiber and lightweight alloys to minimize wearable weight, enabling multi-hour use without fatigue. A hot-swap battery system allows users to replace depleted cells without removing the exoskeleton, with a single charge supporting approximately four to six hours of active assistance.
The Exo-S3 series carries an IP65 dust and water resistance rating and incorporates an automotive-grade EV battery for reliability and longevity. Its planetary gear motor delivers high torque in a compact form factor. The system is reported to boost movement efficiency by up to 20% relative to unassisted walking.
The Exo-S3 line began commercial availability in June 2026. Sumbu positions these products for consumers in healthcare and senior mobility, outdoor recreation, sports performance, and light occupational use.
