Berlin start-up building modular legged-wheeled robots that carry lidar, thermal or acoustic payloads for 24/7 jobsite and plant monitoring.
N Robotics is a Berlin-based robotics company founded in 2021 that builds autonomous mobile robots with flexible sensor payloads for data collection and monitoring on construction jobsites and in industrial facilities. CB Insights lists its address as Mariendorfer Damm 1, 12099 Berlin, Germany. The company was founded by Elisa Czerski, who studied economics and law, worked in financial consulting and later studied philosophy with a focus on AI, neuroscience and robotics, and who is responsible for business, investors and staff. Co-founder Ludwig Faerber, who previously worked on 3D printing and other deep-tech projects, leads the industrial and technical side.
According to the German trade publication Produktion (July 2024), N Robotics first sold components such as actuators and sensors to companies building or upgrading their own robots. In 2022 it launched a four-legged robot, but because customers prioritised reliability and battery life it moved to a four-wheeled robot optimised for industrial inspection. Its second-generation platform combines four legs with wheels, with legs that can move individually. The systems are modular: partners can add thermal or acoustic cameras, lidar, radar or robotic arms, and the robots are operated through an app designed so that no specialist knowledge is needed. A two-legged robot was at the prototype stage in 2024.
Cemex Ventures describes N Robotics as a full-stack mobile robotics company for the construction and facility management industries whose autonomous robots provide 24/7 continuous monitoring of construction processes and safety. Caplight describes its products as autonomous robots with flexible payloads for data collection and analysis at jobsites and industrial facilities. Industrial use cases cited in the press include inspecting production lines, outdoor plant security, and monitoring machines and control cabinets, with automotive suppliers among the customer groups the company addresses. Early customers were industrial companies building their own mobile robotics. N Robotics won the start-up challenge at the Digitale Fabrik congress.
The company was self-financed until 2024, when it had about 20 employees and was raising its first funding round. Caplight dates its seed round to September 2025, and investors listed by CB Insights and Caplight include construction-tech investor Zacua Ventures, CEMEX Ventures through its LEAPLAB programme, Auxxo, Plug and Play and Female Founders Grow F. Its appearance in both the CEMEX Ventures and Zacua Ventures portfolios reflects the construction-monitoring focus of its current platform.
