Motion Automation Intelligence (Motion Ai) is an automation-engineering and systems-integration brand of Motion Industries, Inc., headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. Launched on February 3, 2022, it consolidated seven previously separate specialized engineering businesses -- AMMC, Axis, BRAAS, F&L, Integro Technologies, Kaman Automation, and Numatic Engineering -- into a single organization operating under the Motion Industries network.
Motion Ai designs and integrates robotics, motion control, and machine-vision systems alongside pneumatics, industrial framing, digital networking and IIoT infrastructure, and custom mechatronic assemblies. Internally the work is organized through an Industrial Framing Division, a Vision Excellence Group, and a Solutions Engineering Division, and the company builds and integrates equipment using components from suppliers including Yaskawa, Universal Robots, SMC Corporation, and Banner Engineering. Its engineering scope centers on custom panel builds and full production-line integration rather than a single fixed product line.
The company serves customers in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical device, logistics, automotive, aerospace, defense, and food and beverage manufacturing across the United States, and is a member of the Association for Advancing Automation (A3).
