Hainzl Industriesysteme GmbH is an Austrian industrial automation and systems-integration company headquartered in Linz, Austria. It was founded in 1965 by engineers Erich Hainzl and Leopold Bauer as Hainzl & Bauer, moved to its present Linz site in 1970, and was renamed Hainzl Industriesysteme after a family ownership change in 1985.
The company is organized into five business units. Systemtechnik covers fluid power, hydraulic systems and test rigs; Motion & Drives designs hydraulic, mechanical and electrical drive systems; Embedded Systems builds control electronics and human-machine interface modules; Gebaudetechnik handles building automation, electrical installation and security systems; and Hainzl Electronics Manufacturing assembles and tests electronic components. Hainzl holds Danfoss's highest partner certification for both the Power Solutions and Drives product lines, and it supplies drive, control and automation equipment to machine builders, plant engineering firms, vehicle manufacturers and construction companies across Europe.
The corporate group also includes AQUASYS, a fire-suppression systems maker founded in 1993; KAPPA Filter Systems, an air-filtration business co-founded in 1998; Slovenian subsidiary TOK, acquired in 2020; and additional units Technotrade in the Czech Republic, Frankonia Antriebstechnik in Germany, and MS2 Engineering in Germany.
