CRETEC GmbH
German machine vision and robotics integrator in Büdingen; AI-based optical inspection, bin-picking, and collaborative robotics for industry.
CRETEC GmbH is a German high-technology company headquartered at Industriestraße 35, 63654 Büdingen, Hesse, Germany. The company was originally established in 2017 as Cretec Cybernetics GmbH, an industrial image processing and machine vision firm. Following insolvency proceedings, Vision On Line GmbH took over CRETEC's business operations in June 2023, and the company now operates as CRETEC GmbH.
CRETEC serves as a manufacturer and system integrator of complete solutions in four core areas: industrial image processing (machine vision), robotics and collaborative robotics (CoBotik), artificial intelligence applied to quality control, and industrial automation for Industry 4.0. The company delivers custom end-to-end systems for optical quality inspection including sorting, bin-picking, surface inspection, and code verification tasks.
Target industries include automotive, electronics, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, battery manufacturing, and general industrial automation. CRETEC combines hardware and software expertise — integrating cameras, lighting, laser systems, and AI algorithms — into complete inspection and automation cells.
The company's CEO Alexander Trebing holds the title of Machine Vision Specialist and claims CRETEC is among the only ISO-certified experts in Europe in the field of machine vision, though the specific certification number was not independently confirmed from public sources. CRETEC has a YouTube channel (CRETEC - Creating Technologies GmbH) and an active LinkedIn presence with approximately 654 followers. The company is registered in the Büdingen municipal business directory and in the German commercial registry.
