AvMap Farmnavigator

Farmnavigator is the agricultural business line of AvMap s.r.l., a single-shareholder Italian electronics company headquartered at Viale Zaccagna 6 in Carrara (Massa-Carrara). AvMap states that it has designed and produced navigation products in Italy since 1994, and it runs several brands: AvMap Avionics for sport and ultralight aviation, automotive and telematics electronics (the company says it is an official supplier to the PSA group and Toyota Motor Europe), SEIWA marine electronics, AvMap Geosat and OEM electronic design services. Farmnavigator is the group's intelligent-agriculture brand.

The core of the Farmnavigator range is automatic steering for tractors. Pilota is presented as a compact, easy-to-install automatic steering system. Hardware kits cover different machine types: the G5 Kit for tractors that are not steer-ready, with a minimum working speed of 600 m/h and a dedicated set-up for 50 m/h; the G4 Kit for any non-steer-ready tractor, with a minimum speed of 1.6 km/h (600 m/h optional); and the ECU Kit for steer-ready vehicles, with compatibility listed for models such as Deutz-Fahr TTV, Kubota M7, CNH Puma, Magnum and Optum, New Holland STX, Valtra T7/T8, Massey Ferguson, Challenger and Fendt.

Positioning is handled by Farmnavigator smart antennas. The All in One RTK antenna is specified at +/- 2 cm accuracy with a 100 km baseline, receives GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou on multiple frequencies, and has an embedded NTRIP client for internet RTK corrections; AvMap recommends it for ploughing, strip-till, planting and weeding. An All in One Tstar antenna and standalone GNSS receivers are also offered.

For in-cab guidance, the G12 Panorama, G7 Iso, G7 Plus and G7 Ezy terminals provide parallel guidance; the G7 Plus, G7 Iso and G12 Panorama work with the auto-steering system and support section control. ISOBUS products include the G7 Terminal and ISOBoost, while G7 Dataseed is marketed for automatic weeding. A smart-farming layer comprises the MyFarmnavigator platform, the Tracker Agri telematics unit, a 4G Agri SIM and an A-I/O board. Products are sold through a dealer network, and the site provides a dealer locator and a support request form.
