It features a vertical-lift mechanism allowing the arms to reach from floor level to roughly 2.1 meters. Two multi-degree-of-freedom arms with dual grippers enable household manipulation tasks. Passive stability means the robot can be powered down at any state without dropping or falling. Memo is engineered specifically for domestic chores: loading and running dishwashers, clearing tables, folding laundry, and general tidying.

Sunday's training methodology distinguishes it from competitors. The company shipped its Skill Capture Glove — a wearable motion-capture device priced at approximately $200 — to thousands of "Memory Developer" participants. These volunteers recorded authentic household routines in their own homes, generating approximately 10 million chore episodes from more than 500 real residences. This real-world data trains Sunday's ACT-1 foundation model to handle long-horizon, variable tasks in messy, unstructured home environments.

On funding, Sunday raised an initial $35 million from Benchmark and Conviction Partners, then closed a $165 million Series B in March 2026 led by Coatue Management, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Tiger Global, and Conviction Partners, reaching a $1.15 billion valuation. Current per-unit build cost is approximately $20,000; Sunday has publicly targeted a future retail price below $10,000 at manufacturing scale. A beta program with approximately 50 "Founding Families" is planned for late 2026.
