DroneUA was founded in Kyiv by Fevzi Ametov and Valerii Iakovenko, who began developing agricultural drones together in 2013, and has grown into Ukraine's largest importer and systems integrator of unmanned aerial vehicles and related robotics. The company has since expanded beyond agriculture into geodesy, mining, energy and security work.
DroneUA is the exclusive distributor for Chinese agricultural-drone maker XAG across Ukraine and Eastern Europe, and also distributes Pix4D photogrammetry software, EcoFlow power equipment, and drones from Chasing and Flyability, operating its own engineering, production, service and data-processing divisions to support these product lines. Its agricultural spraying and monitoring drones have covered more than 4 million hectares of Ukrainian farmland cumulatively, including over 1 million hectares treated by spraying drones in the 2021 season alone.
The company registered its trademark in North America in February 2025 after opening a US engineering center, then opened a London office in the Knightsbridge district in November 2025 to expand into the UK and European markets. In March 2025, DroneUA began supplying robots to NASA for testing, with an initial batch shipped to Virginia for evaluation. Forbes has ranked DroneUA among the top three businesses in Ukraine's agricultural sector and among the country's top 20 enterprises overall.
